our 2nd grade students have been producing some wonderful voluntary work - we are so proud of our students!
Recently, we worked on a writing project with our 2nd Grade students. The only direction they were given was "Once upon a time..." Each student then had to give one line of the story - they could say whatever they chose for their story. It really was incredible to see how different each of the class stories turned out! Enjoy...
1st and 2nd Grade - Barnaby runs and hides everywhere he can, trying to escape the Great White Ork, Everywhere he hides there's more danger! Will he ever escape? ....What a day!
3rd and 4th Grade - Mike works hard as a shoemaker, to take care of his family. He makes a very special pair of shoes, which take a very long time to find a home. When they do, there's a very special message with them.
5th and 6th Grade - Two illustrated children's stories with a moral: The Legend of the Black Sea- a story which shows that strength of character, and belief in the good in everything is above all else; The old fisherman had a good dog, Boley, and an evil black cat, Sershina. "Master, this cat will be our undoing! Let's drive her away! Black cat, evil cat!" yelped Boley"Don't say that! You'll see that Serzhina will change and become good!" answered the old fisherman... Mommy- a story where good and bad are both done in the name of love; The poor King had lost his Queen during the birth of their firstborn daughter, Princess Selena. After that unhappy day the King was never separated even for a moment from his young daughter. But, as time went on, the little princess suffered over this....
